Ryan Kochanski, MD is a board-certified neurosurgeon practicing in San Antonio, TX.
Dr. Kochanski received his BSE in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He received his medical degree with high distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He then went on to complete his residency at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. During residency, he completed enfolded fellowships in Functional, Stereotactic and Epilepsy Surgery at both Rush and the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Science System. He then went on to complete a formal, post-residency fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Kochanski provides surgery for a broad range of brain and spine conditions including brain tumors, movement disorders, epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia and complex spinal and sacroiliac disorders. He specializes in minimally invasive surgical options for diseases of both the brain and spine. His emphasis is on providing the least invasive surgical options when feasible to treat a broad range of spinal diseases. He has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters pertaining to both brain and spine disorders.
